A&M Trees, LLC offers evergreen, ornamental, and shade trees. We have an extensive selection in our tree holding yard and large nursery. The varieties can change each year however, we typically have the following, more popular Wisconsin varieties, ready for sale:

Arborvitae Elm Maple
Birch Flowering Pear Oak
Cedar Hawthorne Pine
Crabapple Lilac Redwood
Dogwood Linden Serviceberry
Spruce

And many more that are hardy and thrive well in our area. If you aren’t able to find the exact tree you’d like, A&M Trees, LLC will special order almost any tree.

The trees at A&M are either handpicked from nurseries throughout the Midwest or are grown in our own nursery. The trees in our holding yard are already dug, with their roots wrapped in wire and burlap. This means these trees are ready to be planted in your yard almost any time of year!

Trees compliment, beautify and increase the energy efficiency and value of your home or business. When planted today, they can be enjoyed for many years to come. Ornamental trees such as Hawthorne, Crabapple, Lilac and Flowering Pear Trees add texture and color to groupings, while evergreen trees offer green, year-round privacy and provide wind block.

Tree Benefits

There are a variety of benefits that trees provide:

Social - While we certainly enjoy their beauty, trees also have a known calming effect.
Environmental - They moderate the climate by creating a cooling effect, enhance air quality, reduce storm water runoff, serve as a windbreak, and are home to various wildlife.
Economic - The value of properties with trees tends to be higher, and the shade provided can lower cooling costs in the heat of summer and reduce the amount of watering needed for grass and other plants.

How to Care for Trees

The care a tree receives in the first few years is critical and will have an effect on its health and growth in the future.

For young trees, consider putting on a trunk guard only during the winter to protect it from animals. Add mulch to limit grass and weed growth and help retain moisture. During the first season, the best way to water is to set the end of a hose (without any attachments) at the base of the tree and let the water slowly trickle out for 15 – 20 minutes. Check the dirt under the mulch at least weekly. If it is dry, add water; if moist, do not water. After that, nature generally does a great job of taking care of keeping a tree sufficiently watered.

Your newly transplanted trees require water and oxygen; however, too much of either of these things will kill the tree. Newly planted trees may wilt, experience some browning and even lose some of their leaves. This is normal, as they experience some shock when moved from the nursery to your home. Your care during the first 6-8 weeks is critical. When you see a tree wilt don’t assume it needs water. Over watering can also cause wilting. When a tree has been over watered the roots can rot. The tree may not be able to take up the water it needs, and thus it may wilt. Check the soil. If it feels wet do not water.

A&M Trees, LLC backs every tree with a one-year guarantee. Should a tree fail to live, we will issue a credit for the full price paid up to one year from date of purchase.
